Bathroom Tiles

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are both excellent choices for bathroom walls. Gloss-finish tiles are particularly popular as they reflect light and are easy to wipe clean, helping smaller bathrooms feel brighter and more spacious. For a classic look, metro or brick-shaped tiles work well, while large-format tiles create a sleek, modern feel with fewer grout lines.

Both are suitable, but porcelain tiles are generally the preferred choice for bathrooms because they are denser and absorb less water, making them highly resistant to moisture and stains. This makes porcelain particularly well-suited to shower enclosures, wet rooms, and bathroom floors. Ceramic tiles are a great option for bathroom walls where water exposure is less direct, and they tend to be lighter and easier to cut during installation.

Anti-slip tiles are strongly recommended for bathroom floors, particularly in wet areas such as walk-in showers and wet rooms. Look for tiles with a matt or textured finish and an R10 or R11 slip rating for domestic bathroom use. Both large and small tiles can work well in a small bathroom.
