Linkfloor questions
Yes, Linkfloor is specifically engineered to handle the demands of high-traffic environments, making it an excellent choice for busy hallways, open-plan living areas, and even commercial settings. Its resistance to scratches, stains, and moisture means it maintains its elegant appearance even under daily wear and tear.
Linkfloor is highly resistant to moisture, which gives it a significant advantage over traditional laminate in wetter areas of the home. While it performs very well in kitchens and utility rooms, we recommend checking the specific product’s technical data sheet for full waterproofing credentials before fitting it in a bathroom where standing water may be an ongoing concern.
Linkfloor offers a warmer, softer feel underfoot compared to ceramic tiles, and its click-fit installation is considerably quicker and less messy than laying tiles with adhesive and grout. Ceramic tiles may edge ahead in very wet zones, but Linkfloor’s combination of durability, moisture resistance, and sophisticated aesthetics makes it a compelling alternative for most interior renovation projects.
Linkfloor flooring is compatible with underfloor heating systems, but it is important to ensure the surface temperature remains within the manufacturer’s recommended limits – typically no higher than 27°C. Always allow the flooring to acclimatise in the room for at least 48 hours before installation to prevent any expansion or warping once the heating is switched on.
