Marble effect tiles offer the luxurious look of natural marble at a fraction of the cost and with far greater practicality. Unlike real marble, porcelain marble effect tiles are non-porous, so they do not require sealing, are resistant to staining, and are much easier to clean and maintain – making them an ideal choice for busy kitchens and bathrooms.

Large marble effect wall tiles make a particularly strong design statement in bathrooms, en-suites, and kitchen splashback areas, where the expansive surface area allows the veining patterns to really come to life. They are also popular as feature walls in hallways and living rooms, where a single tiled wall can anchor the entire room’s design without the need for additional decoration.

Marble effect tiles are commonly available in both polished and matt finishes, and the options within our Marble Effect Collection reflect this variety. A polished finish closely mimics the look of honed natural marble and adds a sense of light and luxury, while a matt finish offers a more understated, contemporary feel and can be a safer choice for floor applications due to better slip resistance.

To create the most convincing marble effect, it helps to lay the tiles out on the floor first and arrange them so that the veining flows naturally from one tile to the next, rather than repeating in an obvious pattern. Using a slim grout joint (1.5 to 3mm depending on the tile’s edge type) in a closely matching grout colour will further reduce visible lines and enhance the seamless, natural stone appearance.

Start by measuring the total square metreage of all the surfaces you plan to tile, then divide by the coverage per tile to get your base quantity. Always add a minimum 10% wastage allowance on top of this figure to cover cuts, breakages, and potential future repairs – it is important to order all your tiles from the same batch to ensure a consistent colour and pattern match throughout your project.
