Mapepave Mortar

Mapepave Mortar is suitable for two types of base: a minimum 100mm compacted MOT Type 1 sub base requiring at least a 25mm mortar bed, or a solid concrete base requiring a minimum 10mm mortar bed. The bed depth significantly affects coverage – at a 25mm bed depth, each 25kg bag covers approximately 0.4 square metres, whereas at a 10mm bed depth you get approximately 1.6 square metres per bag, so it is important to know your base type before ordering.

After laying your outdoor tiles with Mapepave Mortar, you can expect light foot traffic to be possible after 12 hours and the surface to be ready for grouting after 24 hours. Full service use for your outdoor area is achievable after approximately 4 days. Once you have mixed the mortar, you have a 60-minute working time, so it is best to mix only what you can use within that window.
