The Bottega Acero 45x120cm is rated for wall use only, so it is perfectly suited to bathroom walls, including shower enclosures and wet room walls, where it will not be subject to foot traffic. Its ceramic construction and matt finish make it a practical and stylish choice for moisture-rich environments. However, please note it is not recommended for floor applications, so you would need a separate floor tile for the base of a wet room or shower tray surround.

Your splashback area would be approximately 1.2 m² (2m x 0.6m). Each box of Bottega Acero 45x120cm contains 3 rectified tiles and covers 1.62 m², so a single box would be sufficient for that area. We always recommend adding around 10% extra to account for cuts and wastage, and since one box already gives you a comfortable margin over 1.2 m², one box should cover you well for a standard splashback of that size.

Rectified tiles are precision-cut after firing to achieve very accurate, consistent edges, which means the Bottega Acero 45x120cm can be laid with much tighter grout joints for a sleek, near-seamless finish on your kitchen walls. This is particularly beneficial given the large 45x120cm format, as it allows the concrete effect to flow across the surface with minimal interruption. You should still use an appropriate wall tile adhesive and ensure your substrate is flat and properly prepared before installation.
