The subfloor must be perfectly flat and level, and a full-bed adhesive method is strongly recommended to prevent hollow spots beneath the tile. The Karachi collection is made from technical porcelain, which is a very dense, low-porosity material that does not require sealing in the way that natural stone does. However, we do recommend sealing the grout joints once installation is complete, particularly in wet areas such as bathrooms and outdoor spaces, to prevent staining and moisture ingress over time.
