The Nival Collection is available in three softened tones – black, white, and grey – all of which work beautifully within neutral interior schemes. The white veining running through each tile adds visual warmth and movement, preventing the look from feeling flat or clinical. Whether you opt for the lighter white or the bolder black, the marble effect finish brings a timeless elegance to any space.
The 60x60cm format is ideal for larger rooms such as open-plan living areas or spacious hallways, as the bigger tile helps the floor feel more expansive and reduces the number of grout lines. The 30x60cm format suits medium-sized or narrower spaces, and it can also be laid in a staggered brick-bond pattern to add extra interest. If you’re unsure, ordering a sample before committing to a full order is always a good idea.
The Nival Collection’s gloss finish makes it a popular choice for bathrooms, as it reflects light beautifully and enhances the marble-effect design. However, it’s worth noting that gloss floor tiles can be more slippery when wet, so we’d recommend using a non-slip bath mat in wet zones such as directly outside a shower or bath. For a wet room application, you may want to consider a tile with a textured or matt finish instead.
Nival tiles are made from durable porcelain, which is naturally resistant to staining and easy to maintain. Regular sweeping and mopping with a pH-neutral floor cleaner is all that’s needed to keep them looking pristine. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or acidic products, as these can dull the gloss finish over time.
For a look that closely mirrors the seamless appearance of natural marble slabs, a narrow grout joint of around 2-3mm is typically recommended for the Nival tiles. This minimises the visual interruption between tiles and allows the veining to flow more naturally across the floor. Always consult your installer for the final recommendation, as floor levelness and tile calibration can affect the ideal joint width.
