Before laying the Hexburst porcelain tiles, your subfloor must be clean, dry, flat, and structurally sound – any unevenness greater than around 3mm over a 2-metre span should be levelled using a suitable floor-levelling compound. Porcelain tiles are rigid and unforgiving of an uneven base, so proper preparation at this stage will help prevent tiles cracking or adhesive failing over time.
