The crackle glaze on tiles such as the Ingot range is inherently porous, meaning grout can seep into the fine surface cracks during installation and permanently stain the tile if it is not protected first. The LTP Crackle Glaze Protector creates an impregnating, colourless barrier that prevents grout, water, oil, grease, and limescale from penetrating the glaze. Applying it before grouting is an essential step to ensure your tiles look clean and intact once the installation is complete.

A single 500ml bottle of LTP Crackle Glaze Protector covers approximately 5 square metres when applied in 1 to 2 coats. If you are tiling a larger bathroom or kitchen, you may need to purchase more than one bottle. We recommend calculating your total tiled area in advance and buying sufficient sealer before you begin installation, so you are not left short mid-project.
