Mapei Tanking Kit

The kit contains 1 x 7.5kg tub of Mapelastic AquaDefense and 1 x 10-metre roll of Mapeband PE120, which together provide everything needed to form a waterproof membrane in a standard shower cubicle, wet room, or bathroom. The Mapeband tape is used to seal joints and corners, while the AquaDefense liquid membrane is applied over the surface to create a continuous waterproof barrier before tiling.

The Mapei Tanking Kit is designed for rapid waterproofing, and once the Mapelastic AquaDefense membrane is applied and cured, the surface is ready to receive tiles after just 4 hours. This fast turnaround makes it ideal for bathroom and wet room refurbishments where you want to progress to tiling on the same day as waterproofing.
