The Porcelanosa Butan Bone is a ceramic wall tile with a matt finish, making it a practical choice for bathroom walls, including wet room surrounds and shower enclosures. Its ceramic construction is well-suited to wet environments when correctly sealed and installed with appropriate waterproof adhesive and grout. However, please note that this tile is rated for wall use only, so it should not be used on shower floors or any other floor surface.

Each box contains 6 tiles, and you need 5 tiles per square metre, meaning one box covers just over 1m². To calculate how many boxes you need, measure the total area of your splashback in square metres, add around 10% for cuts and wastage, then divide by 1.2 (the coverage per box). For example, a 2.4m² splashback would require approximately 2 boxes plus an extra box for wastage, so 3 boxes in total.

The Butan Bone tile features a concrete effect design in a grey/silver matt finish, which is characteristic of the Porcelanosa Butan range and is designed to deliver a cohesive, modern aesthetic. As with most decorative ceramic tiles, there may be slight natural variation between batches, so we recommend ordering all the tiles you need at the same time to ensure consistency. Mixing tiles from different production runs can sometimes result in subtle tonal differences across your finished wall.
