FAQs
33.3x59.2cm wall tile questions
Absolutely – the 33.3×59.2cm format is a very popular choice for kitchen splashbacks as its proportions work beautifully behind a standard worktop, often requiring just a single row of tiles to fill the space between the counter and wall units. Porcelanosa’s quality finishes are also easy to wipe clean, making them as practical as they are stylish.
Yes, these tiles can be installed in either portrait or landscape orientation depending on the look you want to achieve. Landscape installation tends to create a wider, more expansive feel, while portrait installation adds visual height – discuss your preferred layout with your tiler before ordering to ensure the format suits your room.
Porcelanosa wall tiles are crafted to a high standard and are well suited to humid bathroom environments, including areas exposed to steam from showers and baths. Ensure all tiles are correctly sealed at the edges and grout joints are finished with a mould-resistant grout to maintain their appearance long-term.
These tiles should be cut using a quality wet-cut diamond blade tile saw to achieve clean, precise edges, particularly important around fixtures such as taps, sockets, and window reveals. A manual score-and-snap cutter can work for straight cuts but may not give the same quality of finish that Porcelanosa tiles deserve.
Yes, we always recommend ordering an additional 10-15% on top of your calculated square metreage to allow for cuts, breakages during installation, and future replacements. Because Porcelanosa collections can change over time, having spare tiles stored away ensures you can make repairs without needing to search for a discontinued match.
