This is particularly important for a large-format tile measuring 45 x 120cm, as it allows your tiler to lay them with very thin, minimal grout joints for a sleek, near-seamless concrete effect finish. Using rectified tiles does require a flat, well-prepared wall surface, so discuss this with your installer beforehand.

Each box of the Porcelanosa Butan Bone contains three tiles and covers 1.6m². For 8m² of wall space, you would need approximately five boxes, but we recommend adding around 10% extra for cuts and wastage, which would bring you to six boxes to be safe. Because these tiles are sold per box, always round up rather than down to avoid running short mid-project.

Large-format tiles like the 45 x 120cm Butan Bone can actually work very well in smaller bathrooms because fewer grout lines create a more open, continuous look that makes the space feel larger.
