The Rapolano tiles are made from Mineral Sand Porcelain, which is a dense, low-absorption material that resists staining and discolouration far better than natural stone. The light beige tone is fired into the body of the tile rather than applied as a surface coating, so it remains vibrant even after years of exposure to the elements – simply clean regularly to keep them looking their best.

An R11 slip rating is a German standard classification indicating a high level of slip resistance, making these tiles excellent for outdoor areas that may be wet or muddy – ideal for a busy family garden. This rating exceeds the minimum recommended for most domestic outdoor surfaces, giving you added confidence when children or elderly family members are using the patio.

Each Rapolano tile measures 1200x600mm, which means one tile covers 0.72 square metres. To calculate how many you need, measure your patio area in square metres and divide by 0.72, then add around 10% extra to account for cuts and any breakages during installation.
