Outdoor Tiles are manufactured in durable porcelain, making them extremely hardwearing and suitable for highly transited areas and heavy garden furniture. Unlike many natural products, outdoor tiles require very little maintenance, they do not need to be continuously re-stained or treated and are able to withstand the elements of the Great British weather.
Explore our selection of outdoor tiles and choose from a range of styles, sizes and colours. Our large rustic slate outdoor tiles reflect the look and charm of natural slate and our porcelain patio tiles emulate the look of natural stone. Multi size modular tiles allow you to create a truly unique layout and our wood effect tiles combine the natural look of real wood with greater practicality and affordability.
Outdoor tiles come in a multitude of styles, colours, and textures, allowing you to create a unique and personalised look for your outdoor area. Whether you prefer a natural stone appearance or a sleek modern design, there’s a tile option to match your vision. Tiles can mimic materials such as wood, stone, and concrete, providing the desired aesthetic without the maintenance issues associated with natural materials.

Our outdoor tiles are specially manufactured to withstand the British climate, with frost-resistant properties that prevent cracking during freezing temperatures. They are also at least 20mm thick, giving them the structural strength needed for patios, driveways, and garden paths.
For any external surface, we recommend a minimum R11 slip rating, which indicates the tile provides good grip even when wet. All of the tiles in our outdoor range meet at least this standard, and you will find the exact rating displayed on each product listing.
Our 20mm outdoor tiles are suitable for dry-lay installation, meaning they can be laid onto a compacted gravel or sand base without the need for adhesive in many applications. For a permanent or higher-traffic installation, we recommend using a suitable exterior tile adhesive on a concrete sub-base for a more secure finish.
20mm porcelain outdoor tiles are significantly heavier than standard indoor tiles, typically weighing between 20 and 30 kg per square metre depending on the format. While many confident DIYers do lay them successfully, we recommend having at least two people on hand and using proper tile-lifting equipment, particularly for larger formats.
Measure the total square metreage of the area you wish to tile and then add at least 10% to account for cuts, breakages, and future replacements. Each product page on our site includes a coverage guide, and you can use our online tile calculator to get a more accurate estimate for your specific tile size and layout.
