Lux marble collection questions
Yes, Lux Marble 120x60cm tiles are described as suitable for both interior walls and floors, making them an excellent choice for creating a fully coordinated bathroom look. However, because these tiles have a high polished finish, we recommend checking the slip-resistance rating carefully before using them on wet floor areas, and consider pairing them with a matching matt tile in shower trays or wet room floors for safety.
No – one of the key advantages of Lux Marble tiles is that they are made from porcelain rather than natural stone, which means they do not require periodic sealing as genuine marble does. Porcelain is non-porous, so it resists moisture, staining, and bacteria without any additional treatment, making these tiles much easier to maintain in a bathroom environment.
A rectified edge means that after firing, each tile has been precision-cut to ensure perfectly square, consistent dimensions across every tile in the batch. This allows tiles to be laid with very tight grout joints – typically as narrow as 1.5mm – which further enhances the seamless, luxurious finish that the Lux Marble collection is known for. It is important to note that rectified tiles must be laid on a very flat, level surface to take full advantage of this precision.
To preserve the high polished surface of Lux Marble tiles, clean them regularly with a soft mop and a pH-neutral tile cleaner – avoid acidic or abrasive products such as vinegar or scouring pads, which can dull the polished finish over time. Wiping up spills promptly will also help keep the surface looking its best, particularly in kitchens or bathrooms where soap scum and limescale can build up.
The multi-tonal veining on Lux Marble tiles is designed to create a striking, dramatic effect that becomes even more impressive when tiles are laid across a large surface area. Because each tile features a unique face design, we recommend laying tiles out on the floor before installation to arrange the veining in the most natural-looking sequence, or to deliberately create a symmetrical book-matched pattern for a truly luxurious, hotel-style finish.
