The Shine Niquel 33.3 x 59.2cm is a ceramic wall tile designed specifically for wall applications in bathrooms and kitchens, making it suitable for use inside a shower enclosure when correctly installed with appropriate waterproof adhesive and grout. Its gloss finish with a metallic effect not only looks striking but is also easy to wipe down, helping to keep shower walls looking clean. Each box of Shine Niquel contains 7 tiles and covers 1.38m², with approximately 5.07 tiles per square metre. To work out how many boxes you need, simply measure the width and height of your splashback area, calculate the total square metreage, and divide by 1.38, rounding up to the next full box. Adding a 10% contingency is always a good idea to allow for cuts around sockets and edges.

The gloss finish on the Shine Niquel can show water marks and fingerprints more readily than a matt tile, which is worth bearing in mind in busy kitchens or family bathrooms. However, the smooth surface is very easy to clean – a quick wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaner will restore the shine quickly. The grey metallic effect also helps to disguise light splashing between cleans compared to a stark white gloss tile.
