Formats and finishes

When choosing a metro tile you will need to decide whether you would like a matt or gloss finish. If you are trying to achieve a more subtle, understated look then a matt finish may be for you. Next up, it’s time to think of the format. Classic metro tiles are available in a 100 x 200mm format. If you are tiling a smaller area, you may wish to install a small metro tile with a 75 x 100mm format. Finally, you need to pick whether you would like a metro tile with a bevelled edge or flat design. Traditionally, the metro tile was designed with a flat, easy to clean design, perfect for kitchens. Bevelled edges were later introduced and create a softer, cosier vibe, ideal for a relaxing bathroom.
