    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, our Pixel Mosaic tiles are suitable for both floors and walls throughout the home. Made from durable porcelain, they are robust enough to handle foot traffic as well as the moisture-rich environments of bathrooms and kitchens. Always check the individual tile listing for its specific slip resistance rating before using on a floor.

Absolutely – the intricate, on-trend patterns of Pixel Mosaic tiles make them a fantastic option for a bathroom feature wall, adding visual depth and a contemporary edge. Their small format means you can create bold geometric or colour-block effects that larger tiles simply cannot achieve. They work equally well as a full surround in a shower enclosure.

Most of our Pixel Mosaic tiles are supplied on mesh-backed sheets, which keeps the individual pieces evenly spaced and makes installation significantly quicker and more straightforward. You apply the sheets directly to a prepared, level surface using a suitable tile adhesive, then grout the joints once the adhesive has fully cured. We recommend using a flexible, unsanded grout to fill the fine joints neatly.

Because Pixel Mosaic tiles are a small-format tile, the grout joint spacing is typically pre-set by the mesh backing, so you do not need to add additional spacers between individual pieces. Between each sheet, however, you should maintain a consistent joint that matches the spacing already set on the mesh. Choosing a grout colour that either contrasts or coordinates with your tiles can dramatically change the overall finished look, so it is worth testing a small area first.

Start by measuring the total surface area in square metres (width multiplied by height for walls, or length multiplied by width for floors). We recommend adding at least 10% to your total to account for cuts, wastage, and any future repairs. The individual product pages on stoketiles.co.uk display the coverage per sheet or per box, so you can use those figures to work out exactly how many boxes to add to your basket.
